Wedding Photography celebrating the Independence of the Adventurous, Cosmopolitan Bride serving New York, Connecticut and the Hamptons - based in Rye, NY
In between runway shows and market appointments for Bridal Fashion Week, I was thrilled to be able to spend a few hours of my Monday morning with Jena and Rich, wandering through Central Park and up Top of the Rock for their New York City Engagement Session Photographs at sunrise. Although waking up super early to get in front of the camera isn’t always ideal… it is definitely the best way to feel like you have New York City all to yourself… there’s nothing quite like it! Combine that with the dreamy morning light and you have a recipe for spectacular engagement photos!! I’m obsessed with the way this session turned out!
Jena and Rich are planning a fall wedding at the Westchester Country Club in Rye so a spring engagement session is the perfect complement to their September nuptials. I was a little bummed out that the cherry blossoms in the park bloomed early and then froze on the branches this year but when we found this little pocket of sunlight through the trees… I forgot all about them! The truth is, spring engagement sessions never disappoint and this one is topping my favorites list. Jena and Rich, I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding together next fall! If only it would get here sooner!!
Enjoy the highlights from your sunrise in the city engagement session!
I love this silhouette with Bethesda Fountain deserted in the background. You’d never know that in a few hours it’ll be swarming with people.
One of my favorites!!
Oh the glow!! This light was spectacular!! I’m so glad we found a little pocket of the sun flooding through the trees before we left the park!
We left Central Park and hopped in a cab for Rockefeller Center so we could be among the first people of the day to step atop the viewing decks high above New York City. Top of the Rock is one of my favorite places to photograph early in the morning because the views extend all the way south past the Empire State Building and the Freedom Tower… and you can see all of Central Park to the north… plus the multilayered decks make it a photographer’s dream! I love these…
Congrats Jena & Rich!!
