Wedding Photography celebrating the Independence of the Adventurous, Cosmopolitan Bride serving New York, Connecticut and the Hamptons - based in Rye, NY
Most people aren’t grateful for hurricanes… but for Emily & Matt, the lack of power in the financial district during Hurricane Sandy is what brought these two together. The storm forced Matt to moved uptown into a friend’s apartment, who also happened to be friends with Emily. It didn’t take long for Matt to notice her. She’s still baffled that he asked her one a date while she wore her Eli Manning jersey; he’s a Patriots fan. Despite their conflicting football alliances, these two have been inseparable ever since.
After a proposal on the Bridgehampton beaches where Emily’s grandmother lives and where she spent summer weekends since childhood, we decided it was the perfect place to photograph their engagement session. I drove out to the east end early Monday morning to meet these two for a sunrise session. We wandered around Emily’s family home, the town of Bridgehampton, and out onto the deserted sandy beach.
Emily and Matt, it was so great to finally meet you in person and I had such a great time spending the morning together. I can’t wait for your Apawamis wedding in Rye next summer! Enjoy these highlights from your engagement session…
