Runway Recap | Marchesa
Marchesa Bridal Collection Spring 2018

My very first taste of Bridal Fashion Week began at Canoe Studios on the west side of Manhattan last spring where Marchesa always shows their new bridal collections twice a year. Their event is always a highlight of New York Bridal Fashion Week! Artists sketch the gowns on an easel while the models are staged like perfect bridal statues you’d see in an French museum or something for everyone to gaze at while the light pours in through the airy, window lined studio. The French Champagne and tiers of pink and gold macaroons being passed around to all the guests are the icing on top. It’s a fitting spectacle!

The designers, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, showed two collections this year… their signature Marchesa Bridal line and a new light and airy lacy collection for Marchesa Notte. These gowns could be worn on the red carpet but really sing on a bride! Enjoy my favorites from Marchesa’s Spring 2018 collection…
