That’s a wrap! My 2017 wedding season is officially in the books!! I danced the night away alongside Abbey & Will, two college sweethearts, at their Black Tie University Club NYC wedding on Saturday night. It was a fitting end to an incredible year. These two southern born New Yorkers made sure that every last detail came together to perfection and that their guests from Nashville to North Carolina and everywhere in between enjoyed a celebration for the ages in the Big Apple.
The University Club is one of Manhattan’s most iconic old fashioned venues. It doesn’t get any classier – From the library, to the reading room to the billiard’s tables, the entire club exudes historic charm. The cavernous wood paneled ballroom on the 7th floor is the icing on the cake. It set the stage for a rousing dance party fitting for not just a great couple, but a great family and friends from around the world.
Even though the damp weather kept us from getting outside for portraits, Abbey and Will saw each for their first look in the grand reading room on the club’s first floor. Abbey literally took Will’s breath away in one of the most heartfelt moments I’ve been lucky enough to witness. It’s always such a treat to be around a couple so grateful for each other that they literally radiate happiness on their wedding day!
Abbey and Will, congratulations!! I’m so excited for you both and so thrilled to share these photographs from your wedding day!!
Congrats you guys!! I couldn’t ask for a better finale to my 2017 wedding season!!

When a couple is as joyfully infectious together as these two, it makes my job a dream! Danielle & Chris celebrated their Liberty Warehouse Brooklyn Wedding together on Friday in an iconic New York City celebration. With the sun setting over lower Manhattan as the backdrop and the music from the East Coast Band wafting over the harbor, the smiles never left their faces. These two danced the night away with friends and family under the twinkling lights. I met them both nearly a year ago to the day at Kaylin and Jorge’s Bear Mountain Wedding and it made it that much more special to celebrate their own special day together.
I joined Danielle and at her family home in Bay Ridge before joining Chris at St. Ephrem’s Church – my favorite church in the city to photograph by the way – the light is just stunning! We raced from the ceremony to Liberty Warehouse just in time to capture these epic portraits of Danielle and Chris as well as their families before the sun went down. I can’t get over how the skyline pops off the background behind them with the sun fading over the water.
Danielle and Chris, we seriously had the best time being with you both for such an important day in your lives. I hope you keep those smiles on your faces for years to come! Congratulations and enjoy these highlights of your celebration!! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
Congrats you guys!!

When Molly’s inquiry popped in my inbox earlier this summer… I felt like the stars aligned. She and Will both graduated from Notre Dame, my alma mater, and they planned to marry at the Shenorock Shore Club, one of my favorite venues in all of New York! Even better, I happened to be planning a trip back to campus for a football weekend only a week before they move from the midwest back to New York. Everything worked out perfectly for their on campus Notre Dame Engagement Session!
Everything except a few rain drops on Friday morning but you’d never know from these images… both of them were troopers as we wandered south quad and up the steps of the Golden Dome before classes even began for students. All three engagement session last week took place in location near and dear to the hearts of these three couples… I can’t wait for you to see the grand finale… Molly & Will at Notre Dame… this one is extra special for me as well!
Congratulations you guys – I can’t wait to be there for your big day! Enjoy these highlights from your engagement session!
Congrats you guys!! I can’t wait for your wedding next summer… it can’t get here soon enough!!

Today is part two of my engagement session triple header this week on the blog!! Last Thursday I flew to Chicago for a family football weekend at my alma mater, Notre Dame… but before driving to South Bend I met Samantha and Brad in the place that means so much to their relationship – Chicago! We met right across the street from their apartment building to begin their Lincoln Park North Avenue Beach Chicago Engagement Session Photos! These two are celebrating their wedding next year right up the street from my house in Rye, New York at the Coveleigh Club but it’s the windy city that they call home!
Even though I spent a year or so living in Chicago myself, I feel like I discover something new every time I go back! I loved wandering Lincoln Park with these two and discovering views of downtown I never knew about! Between the fall leaves and the sun going over the city… we could have stayed out there all day! We battled the wind on North Avenue Beach and the whipping water along Lake Michigan’s edge but it was worth it… I love all the shots we captured here!
Samantha and Brad, I’m so glad it worked out to photograph your engagement photos in your city!! I can’t wait to see you again in New York before you know it!!
Congrats you guys!! So excited to see you again in New York!!

It’s engagement week on the blog – I’m kicking off Halloween with the first of three engagement sessions I photographed in three different states – not including New York or Connecticut – last week! It was quite the adventure!! I started my big engagement week in Rhode Island with Joelle & Gardiner at Mount Hope Farm to photograph them right across the Narragansett Bay from Rogers Williams University where these two met!
With the Mount Hope Bridge in the background, we wandered the park grounds where Joelle and Gardiner originally considered hosting their wedding day. Luckily it made the perfect setting for a romantic engagement session in the place that holds so many special memories for the two college sweethearts. I love when these sessions take me to exciting new locations!
Enjoy a glass of champagne and this adorable couple!! How stunning is Joelle’s ring by the way… an heirloom from her grandmother… I love it!!
Congrats you guys!! Can’t wait for your wedding next summer!!
